How you play

Choose which direction to roll the ball in, then watch it go until it hits an obstacle, like a wooden crate or stone walls. Some game elements change the ball's path, like the diagonal signs. Some elements react to being hit by the ball, like the statues, which light up - when all statues in the level are lit, they reveal hidden coins. Try to interact with everything to figure out how they work!

In story levels, the goal is to collect all the feathers before your run out of moves. Each collected feather reveals another bit of the story. In coins levels, the goal is to collect all coins and depending on how many moves you make, you're awarded up to three gems. If you ever get stuck on a level, you can use the optional hints system, once the hints bar is charged. You can be shown as many moves as you'd like - maybe a couple to get you started or even the whole solution.

Long Ago: A Puzzle Tale released with a campaign consisting of 5 chapters. Each chapter has 6 story levels and 10 coins levels. In addition, story levels, once finished, can be replayed in a coins variant, allowing you to earn coins and gems for them too. Finishing a level unlocks all levels directly linked to it. You can listen to the unlocked story so far and replay story levels using the story book.

Besides showing your puzzle solving skills, gems are also used to unlock new chapters. As for coins, you'll be able to spend those on skins to customize how the rolling ball looks. And if you want an extra bit of challenge, there are a bunch of feats of wisdom to complete. More commonly known as achievements, you can track their progress in the game.
